The Oroville Community Development Coalition was founded in December 2022 by City
Councilman Shawn Webber. Councilman Webber prompted community leaders with a clear
vision for the success of Oroville to gather. The Coalition consists of a variety of local business
owners and developers, government officials, investors, pastors, and motivated private citizens.
The goal is to promote collaboration and to encourage positive growth and development of the
greater Oroville area.
OCDC workgroups include: Economic Development, Youth Engagement, Veteran Support,
Community Safety and Homelessness. Each agenda features a guest speaker, followed by a
question and answer period. After the speaker, the workgroup leaders give status updates
regarding any recent developments that month. There is a brief opportunity at the end of the
meeting for the public to speak and share any news, events, or issues they wish to bring to the
Coalition’s attention.
Meetings run approximately 90 minutes.
